as a 15 yearold - John Thaw - that one never died (except possibly during a year in provence).
I sobbed when he died...

I think John Thaw's entirely reasonable! I used to see him lots around town when they were filming Morse.

Oh me too! I was really young when that crush started - about the same age as you, Yorkielass. I have far, far weirder crushes than that. He's quite acceptable!

Okay, I have reached a new level of weird - Dr Evadne Hinge.
Yes, you read that correctly. I am a young, straight woman, yet I have a crush on Dr Evadne Hinge of Hinge and Bracket. All I can put it down to is that it's the same sort of thing as when I look at that picture of Griff in women's underwear and blonde wig which Jacqueline has at the end of her posts.
George Logan in drag is one of the prettiest things I've seen in a long time...I must be depressed at the moment. Well, I've just been dumped by the hypothetical love of my life...anyway... Oddly enough, I don't think I fancy George Logan - just his alter ego: an imaginary, eccentric, middle aged, piano playing, female Doctor of Music (and part time herbalist).
What is the world (or rather what am I) coming to? Any thoughts?

Mainly that I'm much less worried than if it was Dame Hilda Bracket!

Really, Why?
Not that I am attracted to her, of course - slightly strange looking!

Les Dawson was a genius. His piano playing used to make me cry with laughter!

Faces like gargoyles or not, at least their men - having a crush on a woman when technically I'm not bisexual is really, really odd! But yes - humour does it for me too, every time.

Sid James is an odd one...definitely rather gargoyle-like when he was getting on a bit, but very funny. And as a young man, in certain lights, he looked rather like Russell Crowe, who is considered attractive in some circles.... I think most straight women would admit to the odd girl-crush, bozpot, though your choice is certainly leftfield, as pol says, for, you know, not actually being a girl.

There's nothing wrong with loving men in drag/transvestites, I love 'em.

Going slightly OT ( I'm known for it! LOL) and risking being misunderstood...........watching 'I'm A Celebrity' tonight has reminded me of how much I've always admired Martina Navratilova.
If I was ever going to get on The Other Bus,it would be for someone rather like her.... ;D
