.... and I didn't faint! Or vomit! Or shout out something like 'I like cake! Sign my leg!' *SPORFLE!* You did splendidly - and we have seen the pictures to prove it....

Vix, age isn't a problem for me, there are some dead people I find attractive, you don't get older than dead. Aha, that's what he reminds me of, a gurner, you know, those old gents that pull weird faces.

Rather late reply to bozpot, but...both. EP was exactly how I'd imagined LPW from the books...and I loved his relationship with Harriet (Harriet Walter) So did I. Right, another two for the odd box - cartoon characters this time: Peanut and Evelyn* Spyro Throckmorton from Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.*male, not female.

David Warner (in particular as Evil in Time Bandits). Something about him makes me squee with various sorts of delight ;D. The voice, the presence, the impossibly blue eyes, other things I can't quite put my finger on...Dammit, what happened to my fainting smiley?
I will even admit to wanting to watch the likes of Tron just to see him *hides in the nearest filing cabinet*.
I have to say though, at times he looks rather weird, and with some of the characters he plays, I don't know whether to swoon or throw up - so disgustingly villainous.
Somebody, please tell me if this new addition to the Odd Box is understandable or not!

In Tron, is that the bad guy who talks to the big red head?

Erm...yeah, I think so. But dont quote me on that as it's been years since I saw it. He looks like he's wearing a bucket on his head and his costume is covered in red lines, unlike the good guys who have blue.

Yeah, bucket head, that's the one, I don't think I find him attractive (I've only seen him (knowingly) sporting the bucket look), but, I can see the appeal.

Ah, lovely Mr Warner. I've spent an inordinate amount of time at the National Film Theatre catching up with the more obscure stuff he's been in, like Alain Resnais' Providence, Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment and a rather poor quality recording of the RCS's Henry II from the 1960s. Have also pursued him around the theatre, having been to see 'The Feast of Snails' (his return to the West End stage: unfortunately a bit meh), 'King Lear' at Chichester and 'Henry IV' (he was even attractive in Falstaff's fat suit). He was particularly lovely as the headmaster in 'The Choir' on the BBC a few years ago, and delightfully twinkly as Lord Mountbatten in 'Loving Barbara' recently. OK, stopping now before the restraining order arrives...

I would dearly love to see 'Morgan...' and the film of him as Lysander, back in the days when he was young and beautiful. I've seen YouTube clips, and I don't half envy Helen Mirren!
I still like Evil the best, though - hilarious, and so sexy, though I'm not sure why.
'Twinkly' - that's it. But he's also a master of the devastatingly sexy malevolent stare. I saw 'Ladies In Lavender' a couple of days ago. Pity about that awful moustache. Otherwise, he's still got it!

I would draw your attention to the Geraldine McEwan version of 4:50 From Paddington, starring one David Warner. Also one very lovely Dr Griff, so I hope you're all impressed that I noticed anyone else in the cast.

Griff AND David??!! *faints and falls into a vat of strawberry jelly*
I don't suppose lovely Griff has done anything with anyone else on My List, has he...John Hurt, for example?
By the way - I just saw Mr Warner wearing a dress!

Indeed? What was that in, bozpot? I saw Mr Warner wearing Nothing At All (the aforementioned production of King Lear, about five years ago). Oddly it hasn't put me off him in the least. BTW, I don't think I've ever seen the attraction described better than 'he makes me squee with various sorts of delight'.

It was in a wonderfully surreal Evelyn Waugh story, 'Mr Loveday's Little Outing'. He plays Lord Moping, a patient in an asylum who feels most comfortable wearing a black dress. If this link works, there's information, plus a clip. I wish they'd broadcast it again (and not just because of David Warner). The rest of the cast is/are(?) fabulous. www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/cinema/features/loveday.shtmlWhy, oh why would seeing Mr Warner wearing Nothing At All put you off him? He may be getting on a bit and not quite so lovely as when he was Morgan Delt, but he's still him! (By the way, is he as skinny as people claim?)
