After reading the experiences of those who have been blessed to meet the man himself, dare I also trot out the 'L' word ? As in.......he does indeed seem like a lovely bloke ;D My English teacher detested the use of lovely, along with nice, but sometimes nothing else will quite do And at the risk of infringing Ladyj's copyright, may I just say how much I admire her very apt description.......'the dusty-haired Welsh adonis'......perfick! xx

It is good, isn't it? That's why I nicked it. ;D I had an English teacher like that too. I still inwardly cringe at Nice.... (but in this instance Lovely is perfectly acceptable )

I had a teacher who didn't like Nice, had a multitude of reasons behind it, but everyone knew it was because her name was Mrs Nice. Having said that, I'm not a particular fan of nice, it's like a non descript word, mega bland, like chips. I don't mind lovely though, it's suits lovely occasions.

Yes,lovely is certainly the only word to fit the bill sometimes My English teacher was a crashing snob (private Catholic school ),and also outlawed toilet,lounge,settee,jumper..... Anyhoos...back to the 'dusty-haired,Welsh adonis'...... Lovely! ;D ;D ;D

Only just remembered we had this thread going,so I shall add my twopennyworth! He is indeed a lovely guy, even wittier and more amusing when talking (rambling? LOL ) without a script, and looks even younger in the flesh than on screen And he has a definite twinkle in his eye I might have to have the Griff Experience again very soon (November? ;D ) xx

The man is lovely, even when I forgot to tell him who's name to write in the book! He asked me, and I said 'Oh, mine..... *pause*..... It's Carli' *is stoopid* ;D
