Oh FAB! Hope you had a good one too.
Ooh, that reminds me - putting a little present from the Pol archive on your birthday thread....

Just pottered along to say how much I enjoyed 'Mountain'. I'll never understand the drooling over Mr GRJ but he does make a damn good programme!

It's not drooling, mircalla, it's aesthetic and artistic appreciation!

Absolutely. I am looking forward to artistically and aesthetically appreciating him through this entire repeat run.... Never has the prospect of the Scottish dancing looked so appealing, I must say.

And I believe there is more opportunity for aesthetic appreciation this evening....Lake District tonight, which I believe is the lovely one with the Quaker meeting, which I found rather affecting.
And the Kendal Mint Cake, of course.

Ahh, yes, the kendal mint cake, what was that, that was brought up by somebody about a sperm bank?

Yeah, I think it was GJ, something to do with toothpaste and a sperm bank.

Bear in mind I have a creatively forgetful memory, this troubles me IRL, my proper memories get mixed with all sorts, tis a very confusing life I lead.
But I do remember something along those lines.

I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed the Lake District one. Not only is it gorgeous scenery, I think it's fabulously done, and ten points to him for getting up the rock. I'm sure I couldn't have done it.
(and we get the wonderful motorbike moment, and a splendid shot of his bottom, which I always enjoy, being the perve that I am)

I know I couldn't have done it *is unfit*
And very splendid indeed (and not pervy in the slightest).

Just a quick one before I fall over to remind that part 3 of Mountain is on tomorrow (Wednesday), in which the man spends a lot of time on trains, wanders round Glenbogle with the most delightfully bonkers expert we've had yet, boundes about on a dogsled and reminds me why when my sister and I went to Aviemore we spent the entire time getting drunk. (And, for the more irredeemably earthbound among us, runs half way up Ben Nevis wearing shorts)
No, seriously, it's a gorgeously filmed episode and full of fascinating things. Enjoy.
