I thought it would be appropriate to start a thread for people to send best wishes to Griff and Jo after their rather excessively exciting experience.... ( here if you don't know what I'm talking about) - so here you are. For my part I wanted to say [glow=red,2,300] Thank goodness [/glow]it all ended up happily and that everyone is safe and well - huge condolences about the book, but that's replaceable.... (and if it's not too forward, a virtual hug to all in relief that it was all so much less of a drama than it could have been....)(not to mention a really good answer for when the dentist asks you So, did you have a good holiday this year?)

Eek, must have been terrifying (especially for poor Mrs R-J by the sound of things). At least the cruise ship was close by and able to effect a prompt rescue. Glad to hear that everyone is fine and home safe.

As Ali says, it must have been terrifying. So sad Griff has lost all that work on his new book. What a relief that help was close at hand and everyone is safe!

Dearest Griff, Jo, fellow guests and crew of Parranda,
What a terrifying experience!! Thank God that you are all safe and sound!! Shame about your possessions but those kind of things can be replaced. Human life, however, can't be. Many of us on here don't know you personally Griff, but nevertheless you have touched our lives in a positive way and I think, if I may speak for all on here, we'd miss ya if owt happened to ya!!
Anyway, just writing to say am thinking of you guys and hope you recover from the shock soon!
All my Love,
Lilprincessleia xxx

Dreadfully late in replying, due to dratted comp crashing and being offline for ages, but I echo everyone's sentiments. Thank goodness it didn't turn out to be much worse, that everyone is safe, and that everything lost can be replaced. An experience all involved will never forget I'm sure....but a great dinner party topic for years to come! Seriously though, what a shocking and unexpected experience,I would have felt extremely wobbly for ages after I think xx
