If he's ever short of crew for one of his trips,I enlisted in the WRNS for two glorious weeks in my youth I still recall how to tie various knots to secure things.....and how to keep thing running smoothly 'down below' Sorry...venturing into 'Carry On' territory there aren't I?  xx |

Here's another article - interesting points. I tend to agree with Griff, which will come as no surprise to anyone! (and just to be totally shallow, that second picture is truly something. IMHO!)

Thanx for that Pol.....and I also agree. In fact,until I read about it last week whilst perusing 'Rivers' publicity,I had no idea that huge chunks of our waterways were (or even could ) be privately owned!  I had realised that if you owned a stately pile,and part of a river happened to run through it,you of course owned the fishing rights....but this is a ridiculous state of affairs  (And yes....I'm also going to risk being shallow (so apt eh? ;D ),and agree about the second pic in particular.I do think red suits Himself most agreeably... xx |
