Well, that was a very jolly evening. A one hour talk from Himself about about the Rivers book/series, followed by a booksigning. Talk would undoubtedly have gone on longer if the theatre hadn't been needed for, you know, a play. Griff on good form...lengthy digressions into the hazards of working at the National, Things You Should Know About Buying Canoes, the interesting effect of enraging anglers (tell us about it) and the whereabouts of the actual star of the show...Cadbury! Nice to see some of the ladies of the forum. Always a pleasure.

Wasn't it fab? Brilliant talk, so good and so very very funny. And a total pleasure to see him afterwards!

Just got back from London and still on a high about meeting Himself 'in the flesh' as it were! Very entertaining and amusing talk, and I think he gave a measured and balanced view of the whole rivers debate ,that has risen up after the series and his previous comments. I'm incensed that he won't be fronting the next Restoration series though........I would like to say I'll boycott the whole thing, but I do love that programme! Anyhoos, lovely to meet up with everyone, wish we could do it for often Just a pity about the Jobsworth who felt the need to interfere with proceedings and hurry us along. Thanks to him,my pic with Himself is awful.Himself looks mighty fine (and in focus),but I appear to be an apparition hovering over his shoulder Oh well....next time... xx

I'm well upset about Restoration. I wonder who they've picked instead? I'm glad they had the sense to bring it back, but what a daft decision.
Pic is lovely! We must get a proper one for you next time!

God no! No way does he have enough prestige to keep the series a little bit above the normal dross that's churned out. 'Dumbing down' is probably the term I'm searching for ..... xx

OH VIX I DO LIKE YOUR NEW SIG!!!
*cough*
I've heard nothing further about this, and as it's no longer Griff's baby I may not. If anyone does hear anything do let me know!
