Just caught up with watching this tonight and totally loved it!! This series really does show you a city from such a variety of angles,so different from your bog standard travelogue It has left me with three thoughts... I'm so going to return to Rome (had a day's whistle stop tour in the 80's whilst holidaying in Sorrento) I'm going to attempt to do as the Roman women do and dress up much more on a day to day basis (no more dashing to the local Bargain Booze in Primark PJ bottoms and OH's old painting shirt) The very best use for newspapers is to fashion them into hats Can't wait for next week's programme! ;D xx

I thought it was lovely - as ever, interesting and fun and full of useful little snippets. We went to Rome on our first holiday together, so I have a lot of fond memories, but it was lovely to be reminded!
I loved the Silent Nun who wouldn';t stop talking - excellent And he did look rather fetching in the long white robes I thought.... *cough*

I really enjoyed the second series, made me wish I was travelling to Sydney. I don't go that far down... will have to make another trip down in Australia next year.
