I've added three links to radio interviews that Griff gave after his appointment as President of the Civic Trust - they are lurking on the Downloads page until iPlayer takes them down on Tuesday.
There are also ones I haven't managed to track down yet from BBC Radio Essex, Suffolk, Humberside, Devon, Northans, Leicester and Lincolnshire, so if anyone happens to have heard them could you let me know so I can grab them before they disappear into the ewigkeit?
Enjoy.
(and ha, gotcha, Cives is state, not city, on account of that being Urbs. I think.)
*gives up trying to look intellectual and runs away*

I don't want to become this forum too messy and thus just add the news here - hope that's gonna be OK: Today GRJ was on Radio 4's Midweek. You can download the podcast (~20 MB) here: www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/midweekand find out more or listen to the show with the iplayer here: bit.ly/QzaWK N.B.: Don't wait too long - the show will only be available for a week.Tonight (08/07/2009) 9:30h the repeat of this show will be on Radio 4. Enjoy!

what exactly is a Podcast? I can give you "roughly" - for "exactly" please contact the all-knowing Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcast Podcast is a portmanteau word of iPod and broadcast because it used to describe audio files that were to be "broadcast" with an iPod. With the right software you can get notified of newly available material and may be able to automatically download these files to your computer and from there copy them to a portable media player if you like (nowadays you can use other players than just the iPod). Now, that many of us have broadband connections there are also video podcasts available. Of course you can listen to or watch these files on your computer as well with a media player software of your choice.

Thank you for these, FB - I've added the links to the Downloads page!
I'm having trouble with the Podcast link though, so if anyone else is also having problems do please let me know and I will try and get to the bottom of it!

Thank you for these, FB - I've added the links to the Downloads page! My pleasure! I'm having trouble with the Podcast link I changed it from the shortened version back to its original form. Does that help?

I'm not sure, it keeps crashing me! Oh, you mean you have difficulties playing the mp3 file? How old is your media player; could it be dated by now?

It so could! It's barely functioning! Maybe it's time for an update? I am not very keen on updating myself but sometimes you just have to; otherwise you'd be thrown out of the loop eventually. It's a shame but what can you do.
