The BBC have finally come up with a date for this:-
Sunday 7th September, BBC1: 6:30pm
I'm looking forward to this at least partly as I hope it will include a look at Hardy's poetry, which I love (even if Far From the Madding Crowd and Jude the Obscure make me run screaming for the hills).
And if it is anything like as good as the Betjeman and Kipling docs it will be superb.

It started to show up in TV guides, finally. There it is called Griff on Hardy. It would have been cleverer to stick with the old title, if you asked me, but nobody did, apparently. ETA: Oh, and in Scotland it will run 50 minutes earlier (17:40 h). ETA2: Someone must have read this and listenend to me ;D : At least Digiguide changed the title back (the BBC one listing is not as fast ).

Watched this last night - lovely. Well presented (but of course) and well written, and I thought the location stuff was wonderful. I'll post a more intelligent critique when I haven't got a toddler climbing up my leg.

Influencing the powers that be now, eh, fanny bones! Oh, yeah! I wish... A mine of information as always; I didn't really prove that with the post you are referring to, did I? (Nevertheless I am flattered - thank you!) But here comes: I gladly announce that no rhinos were disturbed in their sleep during the making of this film, despite being directed by Harry Hook. I don't know what he did to the ladybirds, though... what would we do without you!. Not go to this location, download and listen to the i30Dogs video?

I'll post a more intelligent critique when I haven't got a toddler climbing up my leg. Let's make that tomorrow, by which time hopefully she will have stopped teething....Argh
